Rika Fukumori, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Rakuno Gakuen University in Japan and has joined Dr. Heather White’s lab for her sabbatical. Rika plans to further her research by investigating the secretion and role of metabolic hormones and gut peptides in dairy cows, and her research will contribute to knowledge of how endocrine signals play a role during the periparturient period.
